FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can stay at the Ronald McDonald House or Family Room?
Our programs welcome the immediate family of children 21 or under who are being treated by the medical community we serve.

Can children stay at the House or Family Room?
Usually, children who are patients do not stay at the House, except when the child is being treated on an outpatient basis. Often, our House families include young siblings of the patient, so the House does frequently have children in residence. At this time, because our Family Rooms are not staffed overnight, minors are not able to stay overnight at those particular programs. We are always looking for ways to improve our families’ experiences, so this may change in the future.

How is a family referred to the House or Family Rooms? Are there income requirements for receiving services? Does a family have to live a specific distance from the hospital to be eligible to stay?
For questions directly related to use of our House or Family Rooms, please refer to the How To Stay page.

Who operates RMHC of Arkoma?
