About Archie
When families walk into the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Smith, AR, they embrace the love and comfort of a new friend. Although he is not a registered therapy dog, Archie’s mission is to lend a comforting paw to families dealing with the stress and complications of their child’s medical treatment. Archie also offers relief to families missing their canine companions as they stay close to their sick child or sibling. Archie stays at the House five days a week during business hours and is often the first face guests see when checking in and the last to say goodbye as families go home.

Personality
“He has never met a dog he doesn’t like! Always so friendly and energetic to play with other dogs. He gets so excited in our car when we turn in the parking lot, and he sees the RMH-it warms my heart how excited he is to go to work everyday! He runs to the door! He loves on so many people that really need him in a time of crisis. He’s such a gentle giant that he thinks he’s a lap dog. He greets every person like they are the most important person in the world! Best dog ever!!!” –Melissa Udouj
